Best lanyard for DJI RC?

Hey everyone — I’m looking for recommendations on the best lanyard for the DJI RC (the controller with the built-in screen). I’ve been flying longer sessions lately and I’m noticing my wrists and thumbs get tired from constantly supporting the controller, especially when I’m walking around or waiting for GPS/sat lock. I’d like something that actually helps take the weight off without the RC bouncing around or blocking the sticks.

A couple details: I’m using the DJI RC with the standard thumbsticks, and I usually fly standing up (sometimes in wind), so stability matters. I’m also a little concerned about how a lanyard attaches — I don’t want to stress the controller body or end up with an awkward angle where the screen points down too much. Bonus points if it’s quick-release (so I can set the RC on a table/tripod without fighting the strap) and doesn’t feel scratchy on the neck.

What lanyard (and mounting method) has worked best for your DJI RC, and are there any setups to avoid?

Story time: I tried a cheap single-loop cord and it felt sketchy—RC swung, screen dipped, sticks got bumped in wind. Switched to a wide camera-style strap from Ulanzi with a 2‑point base, MUCH steadier and safer.

Sooo yeah, +1 on using a neck lanyard with a *proper* 2-point bracket (the ones that clamp/screw into the RC’s bottom threads) — it keeps the screen angle right and stops bouncing. Avoid single-loop neck cords; they twist and make the RC hang weird... GOOD luck!

Hmm, i’ve had a different experience—2‑point mounts aren’t always the win for walking/wind. Quick q’s:
- Neck strap or shoulder/sling style (WAY less neck rub)?
- Do you want the RC to “float” high, or hang low so it won’t bump the sticks?

For your situation, I’d go **2‑point bracket + wide strap**, no question. I’ve been there… wrists start screaming halfway through a session lol.

**Option A (best):** PGYTECH Two-Point Mount Bracket for DJI RC + PGYTECH Air Neck Strap
- Pros: screen stays level, way less bounce, weight is actually off your hands
- Cons: adds a tiny bit of bulk under the RC

**Option B:** STARTRC Lanyard Mount Bracket for DJI RC + any soft 1.5" strap
- Pros: cheaper, still stable
- Cons: bracket fit/finish can be hit or miss, idk

**Avoid:** single-loop phone-style neck cords. They twist, pull the RC nose-down, and put weird stress on one point. Quick-release buckle is clutch for setting it on a table/tripod. cheers!

Same setup here, love it

For your situation, I’d suggest a 2‑point bracket that uses the RC’s bottom tripod thread, paired with a wider strap (cheap ones still work if they’re comfy). I’ve been really happy with the STARTRC Lanyard Neck Strap Bracket for DJI RC + a basic 1.5–2" camera neck strap… honestly way better value than the “drone-branded” stuff.

The big win is the bracket keeps the controller level, so the screen doesn’t point at the ground and the RC doesn’t spin/bounce when you walk in wind. For quick-release, i use Peak Design Anchor Links AL-4 Quick-Connect System on the strap ends—lets you pop it off in 2 seconds to set the RC on a table.

Avoid single-point cords and anything that clips to the stick guards… sketchy. gl!

Can confirm this works. Did the same thing on mine and its been solid ever since.

No way, I literally just dealt with this yesterday. Small world.
