Based on the technical specs seen in the leaks, i expect the price to sit somewhere between 80 and 100 dollars for the standalone unit. It looks like a very calculated move to capture the entry-level market while maintaining the reliability i have come to expect from dji gear. I am satisfied with the compact design as long as the signal stability remains consistent with what we saw in the DJI Mic 2 Kit. Two quick tips for when it drops:

• ensure the mounting clip is robust because smaller units can basically get lost if the attachment is weak
• verify if it still supports internal backup recording since that is a lifesaver for professional workflows
