Hey guys! I finally pulled the trigger on a DJI Mini 4 Pro, and I am absolutely loving it so far. Since this is my first real drone, I want to make sure I have everything I need before heading out on a big hiking trip next month.

I am trying to figure out which accessories are actually worth the money. I have heard ND filters are a game changer for video, but I am also looking at things like:

  • A decent hard-shell carrying case
  • Tempered glass for the RC 2 screen
  • Wide-angle lens attachments

I do not want to overpack, but I definitely want to protect my investment. What are the absolute must-have accessories you guys recommend for the Mini 4 Pro?

Welcome to the club! Ive been flying DJI drones for years now and youve honestly picked a killer starter drone with the Mini 4 Pro. Since you are heading out on a hiking trip, weight is everything but protection is key. ND filters are non-negotiable if you want that smooth cinematic look rather than choppy footage. I personally use the DJI Mini 4 Pro ND Filter Set ND16/64/256 and they work perfectly. For protection, the Lykus Titan MM310 Waterproof Hard Case is basically a tank and worth every penny for travel. It keeps everything snug while you are on the move. Definitely grab a Skyreat RC 2 Tempered Glass Screen Protector too. Those RC 2 screens are magnets for scratches and it is such a cheap way to protect it. Ngl, I would skip the wide-angle lens for now... they usually just distort the edges and the Mini 4 Pro already has a pretty wide field of view. Stick to the basics first!

Coming back to this, you definitely need some filters for your lens. Honestly, go with Freewell ND Filters, you cant go wrong with them. Also, just get any basic folding landing pad. It might seem like overkill but protecting your gimbal and sensors from dust or tall grass is huge for long-term reliability. Better safe than sorry when you are out in the wild.

I totally agree on the protection side of things. Since youre hiking, definitely grab a DJI RC 2 Lanyard and Neck Strap. Its a cheap way to make sure you dont drop your remote on a rocky trail. Also, grab a SanDisk Extreme Pro 256GB microSDXC UHS-I Card. Dont risk losing shots to a slow, generic card just to save a few bucks.

> What are the absolute must-have accessories you guys recommend for the Mini 4 Pro? Building on the earlier suggestion, I think the group has covered the basics for filters and storage. From a reliability standpoint, I've found a few other things that really keep the hardware safe during travel. Honestly, I'm very satisfied with the DJI Mini 4 Pro Propeller Holder. When you're hiking, you dont want the blades getting snagged or slightly bent inside your pack. Even a small warp can cause flight vibrations. I'm also a big fan of the DJI Mini 4 Pro Two-Way Charging Hub. It is super reliable for managing battery health during storage and can act as a power bank for your phone if you run low on the trail. Lastly, consider the Sunnylife RC 2 Sun Hood and Screen Protector. It protects the joysticks and screen while cutting down glare on sunny days. It's worked well for me and I've had no complaints.
