I honestly have no idea what I'm doing. I just bought the Mini 4 Pro and I feel like I'm already in over my head because everyone keeps saying oh you need this and you need that and my head is spinning. My logic was that if I spend $800 on a drone it should just work right out of the box but apparently not?? Like I keep seeing these things called ND filters but I dont even know what those do and people are saying the drone will crash without extra landing gear or something. I'm trying to plan a trip to the coast next month and I'm terrified of breaking it on the first day. I only have about $150 left in my budget after buying the actual drone so I cant just buy everything. I was looking at these bundles on Amazon but they look kinda cheap and sketchy. Do I really need a special bag? The box it came in is okay I guess? And do I need those guard things for the propellers? I'm so frustrated because I just want to fly it but I'm scared I'm missing something vital that's gonna make me regret it. Sorry if this is a totally basic question but I'm just lost. What are the absolute bare essentials I actually need versus just stuff companies want to sell me?

Do you have the RC2 screen remote? In my experience, you really need a Vancity DJI RC 2 Tempered Glass Screen Protector so sand doesnt ruin your screen on that trip.

In my experience, you dont need half the junk people suggest. The drone works fine as is, but you definitely need a high-speed card like the SanDisk Extreme 128GB microSDXC V30 or you wont be able to record anything. Since you're heading to the coast, grab some Freewell DJI Mini 4 Pro Bright Day 6-Pack ND Filters to stop your videos from looking blown out. Skip the landing gear and prop guards, honestly.

I've been thinking about your trip all day! You're gonna have an amazing time, but the beach is tricky. I'm obsessed with my PGYTECH Drone Landing Pad Pro 75cm because it keeps salt and sand out of those tiny motors. It's a lifesaver! Also, definitely grab a DJI Mini 4 Pro 360 Propeller Guard if you're nervous. I used mine for weeks until I felt like a pro. Safety first, right!?

I have the exact same problem and honestly it is so overwhelming. I have been staring at my drone for days and I am too scared to fly it because I dont want to break it. I am also heading to the beach soon and I am just as lost as you are.

  • I keep hearing sand might ruin the motors and I am terrified.
  • I am really worried those cheap bundles are just a scam.
  • I am totally lost too.
