What are some recommended video lenses for the Fujifilm X-H2S? I'm looking for options that excel in video quality, especially for landscapes and portraits. Any suggestions on specific brands or models that work well with this camera would be greatly appreciated!

Been thinking about your setup and honestly, you might want to look outside just the Fuji-branded glass. Before you buy anything tho, are you planning on doing mostly handheld stuff or will you be on a gimbal? That changes which stabilization matters more for those landscape pans. Native Fuji glass is solid but brands like Sigma and Tamron are decent options that work well with the X-H2S autofocus. Usually they save you some cash while giving you similar video quality. It just comes down to if you can live without the physical aperture ring.

The Fuji 16-55mm f/2.8 is hands down my go-to for video work on the X-H2S. Constant aperture, excellent stabilization when paired with IBIS, and the focal range covers most of what you'll need. Zero focus breathing too, which is crucial for video. Yes, it's pricey, but worth every penny if you're serious about video quality.

In my experience shooting on the H2S, you really gotta check out the Fujifilm XF 18-120mm f/4 LM PZ WR. I have used a ton of glass over the years and this one is basically made for video work. The power zoom is super smooth for slow landscape pans, and since it zooms internally, it stays perfectly balanced on a gimbal. Quick tip for ya: prioritize the LM (Linear Motor) lenses like the Fujifilm XF 18mm f/1.4 R LM WR for your landscapes. They are way more reliable for autofocus during filming compared to the older motors. The 18mm is sharp as a tack and handles flares better than most things I have owned, which is huge when you are shooting outdoors... definitely worth the investment for the reliability alone.

For video, I'd strongly recommend the XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 kit lens - hear me out! It's incredibly lightweight, has great stabilization, and the variable aperture actually works well for video since you're usually at fixed settings anyway. Plus the money saved goes toward other gear like an external recorder.
