What are the actual must-have accessories for the X100VI? I'm taking mine to Tokyo next month and have about $150 for extras. People say get a lens hood for weather sealing, but wont that make it too bulky? Also seeing NiSi filters everywhere but idk if the lens cap still fits over them...

Walked around Shinjuku for ten hours last year and my hand cramped up bad. Ended up picking these up:

Make sure you dont scratch that lens. I bought the NiSi UHD UV Filter for Fujifilm X100V to keep it safe, and luckily the original cap still fits perfectly.

> People say get a lens hood for weather sealing, but wont that make it too bulky? Honestly, the whole weather sealing thing is a bit of a headache. I bought a full kit for my last trip to Japan thinking it would save me from the rainy season, but it was just clunky and honestly kinda ruined the vibe of the camera. The hood made it way harder to shove into my jacket pocket, and unfortunately, the original cap didnt fit anymore. I ended up losing the generic cap that came with the hood on the first day in Shinjuku... total bummer. I also tried the filter route with a NiSi UHD UV Filter for Fujifilm X100 Series because everyone raves about them, but I had issues with ghosting during night shots in the city. Its not as good as people make it out to be if youre shooting near street lights. Plus, dust somehow still found its way behind the glass which drove me crazy. Honestly, the extra glass just felt like another thing to keep clean. If I were you, I would be careful about over-accessorizing. My current setup is much simpler now because the bulk just isnt worth it for a street camera. I wasted so much money on these fancy adapters and protectors that just made the experience worse. Its better to just keep it light and maybe grab a decent wrist strap instead. Safe travels tho, Tokyo is incredible for photography even if you just stick to the basics and keep the Fujifilm X100VI as small as possible.

Coming back to this... are you carrying it in a bag or a strap? I unfortunately had issues with the 1.62m-dot LCD getting micro-scratches in Tokyo; the factory coating isnt as durable as expected for such an expensive body. Those stock strap rings are a safety risk for the lugs too.
