I remember rigging my S1H for a shoot in London last year and honestly, the weight is no joke... if you dont balance it right, you'll feel it in your forearms fast. Like someone mentioned, the S1H weight is a beast once you add glass. Over the years, I've found modular parts are way better for the wallet.

• Try the Nitze TP-S1H Camera Cage for Panasonic S1H for a solid, cheaper alternative.
• Add a SmallRig 1674 Baseplate with 15mm Rod Clamp to shift that weight onto a tripod. This setup leaves you cash for extra batteries or a monitor later... which youll definitely need.

I disagree with prioritizing side handles because they dont feel safe for this weight. Try:
