I recently picked up the Lumix S5II and I’m absolutely blown away by the new phase-detect autofocus! However, I’m still rocking a pretty bare-bones setup and want to build out a reliable kit for hybrid shooting. I’ve already got my eye on a SmallRig cage for better mounting options and definitely need a couple of spare DMW-BLK22 batteries since I plan on shooting long days. I'm also curious if I should invest in specific V90 SD cards for those high-bitrate video modes or if V60s are enough. For those who have been using this beast for a while, what are the absolute must-have accessories you’d recommend to someone just starting with the S5II?

yo, the S5II is a beast! For cards, V60 is fine for LongGOP, but you'll NEED V90 for those 400Mbps All-I files. I've used ProGrade Digital 128GB SDXC UHS-II Video Speed Class 90 (V90) Memory Card for a year and it's solid. Definitely grab:
* SmallRig Camera Cage for Panasonic LUMIX S5 II / S5 IIX 4022
* Panasonic DMW-BLK22 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery (2200mAh) Maybe a Kondor Blue Coiled Mini-HDMI to Full HDMI Cable too. Cheers!

I went through this last year! Ngl, I was super cautious about the high bitrates at first. 1. Basically, I tried using some older, slower cards and it was a total disaster.
2. Like, the camera literally just stopped recording mid-take... sooo scary!!
3. Honestly, I learned that sticking to high-spec media for those big files is just way safer for ur peace of mind. Gl!

> I’m still rocking a pretty bare-bones setup I'm super happy with my S5II now, but I once lost a shoot to cheap gear... nightmare! Before I give advice, what's your budget? Safety is key for paid gigs!
