Which L-mount to EF adapters provide the fastest autofocus performance?

I am honestly so fed up with my current setup right now. I switched over to the S5II recently because everyone said the phase detect was finally a game changer for Panasonic but my Sigma MC-21 is just... it is driving me insane. I was doing a shoot in downtown Chicago yesterday, just a quick engagement session, and my 70-200mm EF lens kept hunting back and forth for like five seconds every time the couple moved even an inch. It is so embarrassing when you have to tell clients to hold still because your gear cant keep up. I love the colors on this sensor but if I cant get snappy autofocus with my Canon glass then whats the point? I have a wedding coming up in three weeks and I really dont want to spend thousands replacing all my lenses right now but I need something that actually works. My budget is probably around $300 for a better adapter if one even exists that handles continuous AF better than what I got. Is the Fotodiox any better or should I just bite the bullet on something else? Which L-mount to EF adapters are actually providing the fastest autofocus performance because right now im about ready to sell the whole kit and go back to Canon...

jumping in here... tbh i totally get the frustration but i gotta disagree about buying another adapter like the fotodiox! i love my s5ii but the Sigma MC-21 Mount Converter EF to L is as good as it gets for adapted glass. instead of dropping 300 bucks just grab a used Panasonic Lumix S 85mm f1.8 Prime Lens! its amazing and way faster for weddings! saves you money and stress!

Gonna try this over the weekend. Will report back if it works!

> I need something that actually works. To add to the point above: I hear you, but even the best adapters can be a reliability nightmare for big gigs. One bad pin connection and you are cooked. Reminds me of this one shoot in Chicago years ago. My tripod leg just snapped and I almost dropped my rig into a fountain. Spent the rest of the day balancing on a trash can. Anyway sorry kinda went off topic there. Feel free to ask more tho.
