Im honestly so fed up with this kit lens that came with my camera its just not doing it for me. I recently switched over to micro four thirds thinking it would be this light portable dream but every shot I take indoors looks like grain soup and I just feel like I made a huge mistake spending my savings on this. I moved to Seattle recently and between the constant gray skies and the low light indoors I'm just struggling so hard to get anything sharp or with that nice background blur everyone talks about.
So I was thinking maybe I need a prime lens or two but there are so many options and I'm terrified of wasting more money. My logic was that a 25mm would be the most normal view but then I read that the 15mm f1.7 is the magic lens for this system but it costs way more and I dont know if the focal length is too wide for everyday stuff. I'm looking to spend maybe $800 max total for now because I really need to justify keeping this system instead of just selling it all back to the store. What are the absolute essentials that every M43 person needs to own? Is the Lumix 20mm pancake actually too slow at focusing or am I just overthinking it...
