I'm already starting to think about Black Friday deals for 2025, specifically regarding the Nikon Z8. I know it's early, but I'm planning a big photography trip and really want to upgrade. Given the Z8's release date and popularity, what are your predictions for potential Black Friday discounts on the body only, or perhaps bundled with lenses like the 24-70mm f/2.8 or the 70-200mm f/2.8? Do you think we'll see significant price drops, or just minor discounts or accessory bundles? Also, are there specific retailers I should be keeping an eye on leading up to Black Friday 2025 to snag the best Nikon Z8 deal? Any insights based on previous Nikon Black Friday patterns would be greatly appreciated!

I think the point about the price staying above 3000 is probably right for a brand new unit, even in late 2025. Nikon tends to hold their value PRETTY well. That being said, I have had massive success going the refurbished route directly through the Nikon USA website. I got my Nikon Z8 that way and it was basically indistinguishable from a new one, but for a fraction of the cost (at least thats what worked for me). If you are looking to maximize your budget for that big trip, here is what worked for me:
- Watch for the Nikon site to do a refurbished sale specifically during the holiday week, as they usually add an extra 10 percent off their already lower prices.
- Check if you can use a cashback portal like Rakuten which often hits 10 to 15 percent back at major retailers around Black Friday.
- Look into the Payboo card from B&H to instantly save the sales tax, which is basically an extra 8 to 10 percent discount depending on where you live. You can definitely get close to that 2500 mark if you stack those discounts properly. Refurbished is definitely the way to go for the best value tho.
