So I've been using Amazon for basically everything since forever and usually I just send a bunch of links via Slack but it's getting impossible to manage. I'm organizing a renovation for my new studio in Chicago and I need my partner to see exactly what's in the cart. I mean specific quantities and those weird third-party sellers before we hit buy on the company card next Tuesday. My logic was that a shared wishlist would work but it doesnt show the live cart state well. I remember trying some extension years ago but it felt like total bloatware. Is there anything lightweight and actually secure that lets you just send a cart code?
Re: "Jumping in because I had a nightmare with..." you're spot on about the security risks with some of these random extensions. Most people dont realize how much data they grab. I've been using Share-A-Cart for a while now and it's probably the most stable one out there. It basically generates a unique ID for your cart that your partner can just plug in on their end. No login sharing or password nonsense. It handles those third-party sellers and quantities fine too, which sounds like what you need for the studio. Just make sure you both have it installed. Its free for basic use, which covers most stuff. One thing tho... always double check the cart after the import. Sometimes Amazon changes prices or stock in the seconds it takes to transfer. Ngl, its way better than sending 50 Slack links or messing with buggy wishlists.
Jumping in because I had a nightmare with bloatware extensions during my own studio remodel. You gotta be careful with security on those plugins. Honestly, I disagree that wishlists are the main issue, but they are definitely slow. I would suggest trying Cart To Link instead to avoid those glitches.
