So my boyfriend and I are finally moving in together next Saturday and we have like fifty things in my Amazon cart for the new apartment. Mostly kitchen stuff and some weird organizers I found on Tiktok.

The problem is he has the Prime account and I dont want to pay for shipping on my side. I have no idea how to just move all those items over to his cart without searching for every single one again because that would take forever. Im really bad with technology so sorry if this is a super basic thing to ask. Is there a button or something to just send the whole list to him?

I'm such a nerd for this kind of optimization! Honestly, merging accounts is like a technical rite of passage for couples lol. When my partner and I moved, I spent way too much time trying to hack the cart system. IIRC there isn't a native one-click feature yet because Amazon keeps their cart data super locked down on the server side, but I think I remember seeing a workaround involving shared registries.

  • Set up a housewarming registry instead of just a wishlist
  • Registries often give a completion discount of like 15 percent which is amazing for expensive kitchen gear
  • It lets him buy the whole list in one go to save on shipping Checking out how can I share amazon cart might show you some of the latest scripts or tools people use to bypass the manual entry. Tbh those shipping fees are a total scam when he already has Prime!

When me and my roommate moved, we had this same problem. I just moved everything to a public wish list because carts dont actually transfer between people. It saved me a ton on shipping costs.

  • create a Move-in list
  • share the link with him
  • he adds everything to his cart Are you guys planning to share a Prime Household account, or is this just for the one-time move?

Unfortunately, Amazon still doesnt have a direct export button because your cart is tied to your specific session token for security. Are you guys on the mobile app or a computer? The app layout changes which menus are available. I've had issues with items losing their Prime status when moved to wishlists. TL;DR: No button exists. Use a Registry for better stability. I actually found a solid workaround for this over on Smartphone Board.
