Best way to have someone else checkout my Amazon cart?

My aunt offered to buy my college stuff this weekend but I really dont want her having my login.

I looked into Amazon Household but it looks like we’d share payment methods for everything? And those Share-a-Cart extensions seem kinda sketchy for privacy. Is there a simpler way for her to just pay for my specific items?

Building on the earlier suggestion, wish lists are unfortunately not as good as expected for saving money. I had issues where my specific student discounts didnt apply for others... cost way more. Super annoying. Tbh, just have her send an e-gift card for the balance. Its way more practical and keeps your cart private. I actually found a solid guide on this at Smartphone Board recently.

To add to the point above: lists are okay, but unfortunately, they are not as good as expected when it comes to shipping privacy. I tried doing this for my brother last semester and it was a total mess... half his textbooks ended up at my house because the addresses got swapped. It was super frustrating and took forever to fix. Are you ordering mostly big furniture or just small stuff like bedding? That usually changes how the checkout behaves with third-party sellers. If the list route feels too glitchy, here is what I eventually did:

  • Have her send a specific Amazon e-gift card for the exact total.
  • Use the Amazon Reload feature so she can add funds directly to your balance.
  • Try a browser tool like Basket, tho it felt kinda clunky. Ngl, it sucks that Amazon makes this so complicated for students.

The most reliable method is using the Amazon Wish List feature. You should create a specific list for your items and set the privacy to shareable. Once you send the link, your aunt can add the items to her cart and checkout using her own account. It keeps your login private and avoids sharing payment details. I have used this approach before and its quite secure.
