Can I generate a cart link with multiple Amazon products?

So I have this weird specific problem and I feel like such a boob asking this because its probably easy but I literally cannot find the button for it on the site. I am trying to organize this little block party for my street here in Austin for next month and I am in charge of the supplies. My budget is around $150 to $200 for the basics but I am actually splitting the buying with two other neighbors so we dont all get stuck with the bill at once.

So I was thinking... okay, I will just find all the stuff on Amazon like the specific red solo cups, those heavy duty paper plates, and these cute little pennant banners I found. My logic was that I could just put them all in a cart and then click a share button to send that exact cart to my friend Sarah so she can just pay for it on her account. But when I go to my cart there isnt a share button anywhere? It only lets me share one item at a time from the product page which is so tedious.

I tried making one of those

  • Idea Lists - because I saw that mentioned in a help article but it doesnt really do what I want. It just shows them a page with the items and then they have to click each one and add them manually. Some of the people I am working with are older and really not tech savvy at all so I am terrified they are going to buy the wrong size plates or forget the napkins if I make them do it one by one. I need it to be as dummy-proof as possible.

I know I saw an influencer on Instagram once post a link where it added a whole outfit to my cart at once so I know it has to be possible somehow? Or maybe that is only for famous people? I feel like such a newbie even asking this but is there a way to generate a single link that just dumps like 5 or 6 specific items into someone else's Amazon cart automatically? If I have to send 10 different links in our group text its going to be a total disaster and everyone will get confused...

I totally get the frustration. I had to do this exact thing for my sisters baby shower last year and it was a nightmare trying to explain which napkins to buy to my aunt. Honestly I was so happy when I finally found a workaround because Amazon makes it weirdly difficult for regular people like us... like why isnt there just a button? Most of those influencers use special affiliate tools we dont have access to natively. One quick tip tho—you can actually use an external service like amazon cart share to bundle everything into one link. It works well because it just dumps everything into their cart in one click without them having to hunt for products. Honestly it saved my sanity during the shower planning and I havent had any complaints since using it for neighborhood stuff too. It basically bypasses the manual list-making headache so the non-tech savvy folks dont get lost.

Been thinking about your block party situation since I read this earlier... honestly, organizing neighbors is like herding cats. I've spent years doing stuff for my local HOA and the amount of times someone bought the wrong bulk item is honestly staggering. Over the years I've tried many different ways to simplify this, because like you said, those Idea Lists are pretty useless for people who arent tech savvy. They just end up getting confused and giving up. I am usually pretty conservative about using outside tools with my Amazon account because security is a big deal to me, but I finally found a workflow that actually works. For anyone wondering how to share an Amazon cart, I've had really good luck with Cart To Link lately. Basically, it bundles your items into one URL. In my experience, it's the only way to ensure the older crowd gets the exact napkins and plates you picked out without them accidentally ordering a 500-pack of industrial trash bags or something. Those influencer links you mentioned are usually part of a special program that is kinda hard to get into, so for us regular folks, this is a much better path. It saves a ton of money too because you arent dealing with returns or wrong items being shipped. Just send that one link in the group chat and tell Sarah to checkout. It's way safer than sharing passwords and much more reliable than those messy lists. Good luck with the Austin heat next month, hope the party is a blast!
