okay so im in a bit of a rush because my family back in cleveland is doing this huge secret santa thing and my brother is the one doing all the ordering for everyone this friday to make sure things arrive on time but honestly im so behind and stressed out with work. i have like 20 items sitting in my amazon cart right now that i want for my new apartment, mostly some kitchen stuff and a specific desk lamp that is like $45, and the total is right around $300.
my logic was that i could just copy the url for my cart page and text it to him so he can see everything and just hit checkout on his end but then i started thinking that maybe it doesnt work like that because of cookies and login sessions. like if he opens the link on his laptop is it just gonna show his own empty cart or my stuff? i did a bit of digging online and saw some people saying you can use the move to wish list button but that sounds like it would take forever to do for each item individually.
i also read about some third party browser extensions that supposedly let you share a cart but i really dont want to install some random plugin on my chrome just for this one time and i definitely dont want to give my brother my actual login info because hes a bit of a mess and would probably mess up my order history or accidentally use my saved card. so i was thinking maybe there is a hidden button i missed in the settings?
i checked the mobile app too and i see a share icon on individual items but nothing for the whole cart itself. it seems so weird that amazon wouldnt have a send this cart to someone button by now. i really dont have the energy or time to go back and add every single thing to a dedicated public wish list and then share that link especially since half the stuff is on sale and i dont want the prices to jump while im messing around. is there a way to just send the whole bucket at once or am i stuck manually rebuilding this whole thing from scratch...

Just saw your post! Ngl it's super annoying Amazon hasn't fixed this yet since it's just basic session data. You should totally check out this cart tool, it's a game changer for sending lists without sharing logins! It's amazing for locking in those sale prices before they vanish. I love using it to keep my $300 budget on track. Definitely saves so much time and avoids manual rebuilding!

Honestly its ridiculous that a massive company like that hasnt fixed this. I tried sending a list to my mom once and it was a total disaster... prices jumped while I was messing with it. It drives me crazy how they dont care.
- quality is tanking
- costs are out of control
- basic features are missing I finally used Cart To Link because it works and was a decent option for me.

Stop right there! Unfortunately, a direct cart URL won't work because those pages are tied to your specific login session. If you send that link, your brother will just see his own empty cart. Honestly, whatever you do, DO NOT give him your login info! It's way too risky and I've seen people mess up their saved addresses or accidentally use the wrong card doing that. Total security nightmare! Since you're in a rush, here's the deal:
- Raw cart links are private and won't transfer.
- Sharing passwords is a huge no-no for account safety.
- Rebuilding lists manually is a massive waste of time. I always use the share amazon cart extension for this exact scenario! It's seriously a lifesaver and makes the whole process so much faster. It handles everything in like two seconds so you don't have to worry about those sales ending. It's amazing!
