I'm literally staring at my cart right now and the price of this Breville espresso machine just jumped forty bucks in like twenty minutes. I need to get this ordered for our new office opening this Friday so I'm on a tight timeline here and my boss gave me a strict budget.
I did some digging online and some people say it is just simple inventory tracking while others claim they use super complex dynamic pricing bots that track your clicks. I'm just confused because if it was stock levels it wouldnt jump and then drop again an hour later right? Like does Amazon actually use those algorithms to mess with prices based on how much people are looking at an item?
Like someone mentioned, those bots are real. Breville was unfortunately flimsy for our office.
Saw your post earlier and wanted to chime in. Regarding what #2 said about those other brands, honestly I had a way more disappointing time with them. My cousin tried setting up a station for his startup and it turned into a huge ordeal. He thought he saved money by switching brands but the machine arrived leaking everywhere... repair costs were insane. You basically don't save much if it breaks. Total mess really.
