Whats the best way to get instant Amazon price alerts on my desktop without having my phone glued to my hand all day?

I'm trying to snag an RTX 4070 Ti Super for under $750 before the big sales end next week and I'm torn between:

  • CamelCamelCamel alerts
  • Keepa browser extension

I've heard the Camel stuff can be delayed which wont work for fast deals but Keepa looks a bit complicated. I work from home in the UK so I just need something that pops up a notification on my PC the second it hits my target price. Is Keepa's paid tier actually faster or is there a better extension for this?

Saw your post this morning and to add to the point above: my current setup has been working wonders for me for a while now. I was in a similar spot last year trying to grab a card without paying for premium tracker subscriptions. I eventually settled on a configuration that sends direct desktop pings without any lag. It took some time to set up the thresholds correctly but honestly the results made me pretty happy. Here is what worked for my budget:

  • Sticking to the free version of my chosen tool to keep costs down
  • Using a browser-based tracker that checks prices every minute locally
  • Testing the notification sound beforehand so I didnt miss it while working I ended up getting the one I got for nearly 100 off MSRP because I caught a flash sale that lasted ten minutes. I dont think you need the paid stuff if you just leave the tab open... just keep your browser active in the background.

In my experience, speed is king.

  • I missed a card waiting on emails once
  • My current setup uses browser push for instant alerts
  • Its way faster than regular sites tho

Honestly if you want that card you gotta go with Keepa! CamelCamelCamel is okay for tracking long term trends but their email alerts can take like 20 minutes to arrive. By then the stock is usually gone. Keepa is way faster and the data is just amazing once you get the hang of it. I used it to grab my current build and it saved me a fortune!! Here is why Keepa beats Camel for fast drops:

  • You can set desktop browser notifications that literally pop up the second the price crawls down.
  • The tracking interval is much more frequent especially if you are looking at specific items.
  • You get that fantastic price history graph right on the product page so you can see if that $750 target is even realistic based on previous lightning deals. Dont be intimidated by the interface either. Its kinda messy at first but you basically just click the track product tab and put in your price. You dont even need the paid version for basic price alerts but the paid tier gives you access to the buy box data which is huge if youre tracking third party vs Amazon prices. Just keep the tab open while you work and itll ping you! I love how reliable it is for snagging tech deals during big sales events. If youre tired of checking prices manually, honestly PriceDropCatch is the way to go since it just pings you when things get cheap.
