How do I share my Amazon shopping cart with another person?

I've been using Amazon for literally a decade now and I thought I knew all the tricks like setting up household accounts and using browser extensions for price tracking but I'm actually panicking right now because I'm helping renovate our local community center here in Seattle and the deadline is this Sunday. I have a $600 budget and I've spent hours finding the exact paint supplies, hardware, and lighting we need. I've got about 35 items sitting in my cart but my supervisor needs to review everything before I charge the organization card. I looked everywhere for a share button or some kind of link generator but it just isnt there? I tried to do the whole wishlist thing but it keeps messing up the quantities and some items are saying they aren't available for lists which is super weird. It feels like such a basic feature for a site this big but I'm stuck. I really dont want to have to take thirty screenshots or send individual links because that would take forever and the prices keep fluctuating by the hour. Is there some hidden setting in the cart or a browser extension that actually works for this without giving away my login info? How do I share my Amazon shopping cart with another person so they can see everything at once?

Unfortunately, Amazon lacks a native share function, which is a major technical oversight for procurement. Ive had issues with lists failing to capture exact SKUs and quantities before, so avoid relying on those.

  • never share your raw login data
  • try the Share-A-Cart browser extension
  • verify real-time price fluctuations Its honestly disappointing that such a huge database doesnt support basic cart export or sharing natively.

Like someone mentioned, it's honestly wild that Amazon hasn't fixed this yet. I've run into the same issue and I'm always super cautious about my data. I actually found a thread on Smartphone Board a while back that covered a few different workarounds for this exact problem. If you want to keep things safe and reliable, here are a few options:

  • Just use any reputable cart sharing extension from the web store. They're usually decent for a quick fix.
  • Try the print to PDF trick directly from your browser. It's the most secure way since you're not installing anything new.
  • You could also just copy-paste the whole list into a shared doc, but that takes forever with 35 items. Stick to a well-known extension and you'll be fine, just don't ever give out your login stuff. Safety first, especially when you're handling community center funds... good luck with the renovation!

Hey, totally get the frustration. I have been through this exact nightmare with community projects where I needed approval for hardware and tools. The reality is Amazon links your cart to your session ID for security reasons, so a simple share link just doesnt exist natively. The wishlist feature is decent for one-off gifts but it really struggles when you have 30+ items and specific quantities because it wasnt built for professional procurement. Basically, you should look into Share-A-Cart because it is the most reliable workaround for this. It takes a snapshot of your item IDs and quantities and turns them into a unique code. You send that code to your supervisor, they enter it into the extension on their browser, and it adds everything to their cart automatically. It saves a ton of time compared to screenshots and keeps your login info private, which is huge. One thing to keep in mind is that the extension doesnt lock in prices. Since you mentioned those supplies are fluctuating, I would also save a PDF version of your cart as a paper trail. Just hit Ctrl+P on the cart page and save it. That way, if a lighting fixture jumps $20 by the time your boss looks at it, you have proof of the original budget. It is a bit of a workaround, but it works every time for these types of projects. You got this!
