How do I share my Target wishlist link with family?

How do I actually get the shareable link for my Target wishlist so I can text it to my sisters? I'm trying to get things ready for my daughters 5th birthday next month and everyone is bugging me for ideas.

I did a bit of searching and found some info about Target Registries but this is just a standard list I created in my account, not a formal baby or wedding registry. I tried using the share button on the desktop site but it keeps forcing me to enter email addresses one by one. I just want a link I can throw into our iMessage group chat without all that extra work.

Is there a way to make the list public or just get a URL? I dont want them to have to log into my account obviously...

In my experience, Target hides the share settings deep in the list menu. Go to your lists, click on the one you made, and look for the Manage button at the top right. You gotta toggle it to Shared or Public first, otherwise the link won't work for anyone else. Once you do that, the copy link icon usually pops up. Honestly, I've tried many different ways and this is the only way to avoid the email invite spam. One thing I've learned over the years is to check for Target Circle deals before adding items. If your sisters use the app, they can see those discounts when they go to buy, which is way better for their wallets. I usually wait for those buy 2 get 1 free toy deals they run every few months before sending my links out... timing is everything when youre on a budget.

Honestly, Target makes this way more complicated than it needs to be for regular lists. I've been doing this for my kids' birthdays for years now and I always forget the exact steps because it's not intuitive at all. The trick is that you have to change the privacy settings before the shareable link actually shows up. If it's set to private, they basically force you to use that annoying email invite thing which is just extra work nobody wants. Go into your list on the app or desktop and look for the three dots or the Edit button near the title of your list. There should be a setting to change it from Private to Public or Shared. Once you save that change, go back to the share icon. Suddenly, you'll see an option to Copy link which is exactly what you need for your iMessage group. I do this every time my sisters start blowing up my phone for gift ideas lol. If you want to save yourself some headache next time, I've found that using this extension helps keep things organized across different stores too, so you aren't just stuck in the Target ecosystem. Also, a little protip from someone who's tried many strategies over the years: if the list thing keeps acting up, just start a Birthday Registry instead. It is basically the same thing but the sharing features are much better and you sometimes get a discount coupon after the birthday is over. Lmk if you still cant find the setting!
