honestly so fed up with amazon right now because why is it so hard to just send someone your cart?? me and my buddy are trying to get all our gear together for this camping trip we have planned in Oregon next Friday and I have like 20 items sitting in my cart but no easy way to show him. my logic was that if i could just hit a share button he could see everything and tell me what to remove or add but i guess that doesnt exist. ive tried making a wishlist but it takes forever to move everything over one by one and honestly im just over it. is there some hidden setting im missing or a workaround that actually works for this?
Re: 'man i totally feel your pain on this....' - i was worried about account security too. i eventually tried Cart To Link after researching, and it basically generates a separate list so you dont share login details.
Wait, are you guys taking a truck or a smaller car for all that gear? @Reply #2 - good point! honestly ive had issues with most workarounds and even a handy cart sharer is kinda glitchy sometimes. oregon is gorgeous tho. i did a trip to bend last summer and the mosquitoes were basically the size of birds. spent way too much on bug spray at a gas station. total ripoff. anyway lol sorry went off topic.
man i totally feel your pain on this. it is super weird that a company as big as amazon makes it so hard to just share a list of stuff. i think they do it for security because they dont want people messing with your payment info or address, but it makes planning things like camping trips a total nightmare. honestly, you might want to consider using a third-party tool because doing it manually is just gonna drive you crazy. i was pretty nervous about using random apps at first because you gotta be careful with your data online these days, but Cart To Link has been a lifesaver for me lately. it basically takes your cart and turns it into a shareable link without you having to give away your password or anything sketchy like that. here is what i usually do to stay safe when im sharing gear lists:
