ive been building out this parts list for my cousins new workstation in Berlin since he needs it ready by next Friday for a big project. usually im the go-to tech guy for the family and ive used amazon de for ages but im hitting this annoying wall trying to actually send him the full cart. I have about 14 items in there ranging from cable management sleeves to a specific mechanical keyboard he wanted and sending 14 individual links is gonna be a total nightmare for him to click through and add one by one. I tried just copying the checkout url but obviously that didnt work because of the session cookies and he just got a page saying his cart was empty. is there a browser extension or some built-in tool on the german site that im missing to just generate one single link for the whole bundle? I looked at the wishlist feature but it seems like it doesnt always let him just add all to cart easily without some items being weirdly out of stock or price shifted. anyone know a cleaner way to just share the actual active shopping cart so he can just hit pay and be done with it? dont really want to give him my login info just for this...
I have encountered this exact technical bottleneck multiple times while configuring remote workstation builds for European clients! It is absolutely frustrating that Amazon de does not offer a native deep-link function for active sessions since everything is tied to your localized browser instance. Loving the level of detail you are putting into this, especially the cable management sleeves and mechanical keyboard! To provide the most efficient solution, I have a couple of quick questions:
> I looked at the wishlist feature but it seems like it doesnt always let him just add all to cart easily I actually disagree with skipping the wishlist tho. When I built a budget server last year, using a public list helped me track price drops that saved me 50 Euros. Just be careful with sharing extensions, they can be buggy. I suggest the list so he can snag those Warehouse Deals on the keyboard and save some serious cash.
man i feel your pain on this one. i went through the same headache about two years back when i was trying to help my younger brother build a rig while he was studying abroad in germany. honestly i spent way too much time trying to hack the url strings before realizing amazon just loves their walled gardens... sessions are tied to your ip and cookies for security reasons so the direct link thing is always gonna fail. i've always been super protective of my account info too so giving away a login is a hard no for me. over the years ive found that the most reliable way to handle this is using a tool called Share-a-Cart. i was super cautious about it at first because im always weird about browser permissions and data privacy but it basically just scrapes the item IDs from your active page and generates a unique code your cousin can use to pull them into his own session. it worked perfectly for my brothers build which was like 20 different components including cable combs and stuff. just make sure he has the extension installed too so he can receive the list properly. the wishlist route is usually a mess because it doesnt handle regional stock shifts or buying options very well. quick question tho... are all 14 of those items sold directly by amazon de or are some of them from third party marketplace sellers? sometimes those marketplace listings have weird shipping rules that can break the bulk add to cart process even with tools. knowing that might change how we gotta approach the bundle.
