honestly im getting so frustrated with the amazon app right now its like they make it hard on purpose. im trying to send my housewarming registry to 15 people before saturday but every time i click the share link it just sends them to a generic login page or says the list is private. i literally checked the settings ten times.

i just dont want people buying duplicates because my budget for this move is already super tight and i cant afford to return stuff. does anyone know a workaround or a direct link that actually works? i have so much left to do for the move and this is making me so anxious. what is the fastest way to share this without it breaking?

Amazons backend is such a letdown lately. If people are seeing a login page, it usually means you are sharing the URL from your browser bar instead of the generated invite link, or the list is strictly set to private. To fix this fast and avoid those duplicates you're worried about, try these specific steps:

Open the list on a desktop if possible, it's way more reliable than the app.

Click the Invite button right under the list title.

Select View Only so they can't mess with your items.

Copy that specific link provided in the pop-up. If you have friends who want to chip in on bigger items together to save on shipping or hit minimums, you can have them share a cart to bundle things easily. Also, double check that you set the list type to Shared or Public in the list settings menu. If it stays Private, no link in the world will let them see it. The registry feature is definitely better for tracking duplicates than a standard wish list tho, because it marks things as purchased immediately.
