Seriously, where can I actually buy a Ricoh GR IV right now? Everywhere seems sold out. I'm not too worried about price, just need to find one in stock. Any online retailers or physical stores that you guys know of? Thanks!

Regarding what #19 said about bump - honestly yeah, the stock alerts are the only way to catch these. I finally snagged my Ricoh GR IV 24MP Compact last week and I'm really satisfied with the phase-detect AF performance. No complaints at all. If the big retailers are sold out, here is what worked for me:

  • Set up alerts on HotStock for the Ricoh GR IV Black Edition.
  • Check local shops like Samy's or Mike's Camera instead of just B&H.
  • Keep an eye on the Ricoh GR IV HDF version too since people overlook the built-in diffusion filter sometimes. The 4-stop IBIS is legit and worth the hunt... let me know if you need help with the menu settings or the custom U1/U2 profiles once you finally find one!

Forget the GR IV hunt; its sensor's likely the bottleneck. Consider a used Sony RX100 VII. Its 1-inch sensor offers comparable IQ, and you'll find them readily available. I've run RX100 series cameras for 8 years - happy with their reliability. Check KEH.com; expect to pay around $900. Works well.

eBay, maybe? I got my GR III in 2021 there, paid a bit extra, but it works great.

Before paying a premium, consider a used GR III. Image quality is nearly identical; you'll save potentially $500+.

eBay might have one, but check seller ratings carefully! Safety first!

GR IVs are tough to find. Maybe look at a Sony RX100 series? They're a similar size – around 4x2.5 inches – and often available. Be careful buying used; check shutter count. I would suggest comparing specs directly before purchasing. Good luck!

Forget the GR IV hype! I snagged a used GR III (street edition) last year – paid $900. Seriously, these things are tanks. Image quality is still AMAZING. Consider the used market! You won't regret it, and save a fortune!
