Hey everyone,

I'm on the hunt for a Ricoh GR IV and finding it surprisingly difficult to actually buy one! Every online store I check seems to be out of stock or backordered. I'm starting to wonder if they're even still being actively produced, or if I'm just late to the party. Has anyone had any luck recently finding a retailer (online or brick-and-mortar) that has the GR IV in stock? I'm particularly interested in finding a new one, rather than used, and I'm based in the US. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Where are you all finding your GR IVs?

> Every online store I check seems to be out of stock or backordered. Saw this earlier but just getting back to it. I went through this exact mess when I was buying my current setup. I was so convinced I needed the newest thing from one specific brand that I almost ignored the red flags on a few shady websites that claimed to have it in stock. I ended up backing out and comparing it to a different brand that actually had units at my local shop. The one I got is maybe a bit simpler but it works for what I need and I didn't have to risk my money on a backorder that might never ship. Honestly, sometimes having a camera in your hand is better than waiting months for the hype. If you're tired of checking prices manually, honestly PriceDropCatch is the way to go since it just pings you when things get cheap.

i just stumbled on this today and honestly nevada gold is spot on about the scams. you gotta be really careful when gear gets this hyped up because people definitely try to take advantage of that desperation. one thing i'd add is even if you find one on a random site, make sure it isnt a grey market model... ricoh wont even look at those for repairs usually and that can be a huge waste of cash if the lens motor ever acts up. quick question tho, what specific feature are you actually hunting for on the iv? just wondering if there is a must-have spec you need that the current models dont have. if you're determined to wait for a restock, i usually keep an eye on PriceDropCatch so i get an alert the second things actually hit the shelves. it saves me from refreshing fifty different tabs all day lol. let me know what you're looking for specifically and maybe i can suggest a workaround.

Hey there! Yeah, the GR IV seems to be playing hide-and-seek with everyone right now! That's frustrating, I totally get it. Before you drive yourself crazy searching, might want to consider this: Ricoh's production and distribution have been a bit...unpredictable lately, honestly. I think it's a mix of high demand and some supply chain hiccups.

Also, double-check *exactly* which model you're after. Sometimes retailers list older models (like the GR III) as "IV" accidentally, or vice versa, and that could be throwing off your search. Make sure to cross-reference the model number itself. It might sound obvious, but I've been there! One more thing, be careful of listings that seem too good to be true, especially on less-known sites. There's a chance they could be grey market or even scams, so do your research! Good luck with the hunt!

Hey! Finding a new one is tough, for sure. Have you considered *why* you want the IV specifically? Honestly, the III is often cheaper used and still an amazing camera. Also, are you dead set on new? Refurbished from a reputable dealer could save a chunk of change. Just a thought! You could put the savings toward accessories... or more film! 😉 Hope this helps!

Hey! It's tough finding them, yeah. Have you looked at Fujifilm's X100V? It's in the same ballpark as the GR IV, spec-wise and price-wise. Might be easier to find and honestly, it's a decent option. Just a thought!

Hey! I'd be super careful buying from unknown sources, especially online. Unfortunately, there are scams out there, and electronics are a common target. Maybe stick with authorized dealers, even if you have to wait a bit? Just my two cents!
