I'm freaking out a bit because I'm supposed to start my travel vlog next week for my trip to Japan and I still haven't bought a camera. I have like $800 max to spend but honestly the more I look at specs the more my head hurts. I saw some Sony ones like the ZV-something and then a Canon one but i dont even know what makes one better than the other. Is 4k even standard now? I just want something that looks good and isnt too hard to use because im not tech savvy at all. My logic was that more expensive means better but $800 is my hard limit. Does anyone know which one is actually worth the money for a beginner?
@Reply #1 - good point! Sony is definitely a solid pick. In my experience tho, if you are walking all day in Japan, you want something super light. I have tried many setups over the years and these are great for beginners:
Japan is pricey enough already, so dont feel like you gotta drop the full 800 bucks to get good 4K. Honestly, I have been shooting for a long time and being under budget is basically the best feeling because it leaves room for extra gear or just better food. I am super happy with how these cheaper options perform lately...
