I just bought a Sony a7IV for my first big trip to Italy next month and honestly Im so lost. I have zero camera experience and the shop guy tried to sell me three different lenses but I just want one that can do everything. I really dont want to carry a heavy bag or keep switching them out while walking around Rome. My budget is around $1000 max and I leave in three weeks so I need to order something fast.
Sorry if this is a dumb question but what is the absolute best all-in-one travel lens that is easy for a total beginner?

Get the Tamron 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD. I've used this exact setup for a couple of years and I'm super satisfied with how it performs, definitely the best do-it-all travel lens.

In my experience, you have two great options under budget:
- Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS - wider angle, better stabilization
- Tamron 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD - more zoom, cheaper
