It handles phantom power perfectly and sounds much cleaner than the consumer-grade stuff. If you want to keep the profile low, the Sony ECM-B1M is basically the best choice for the digital MI shoe. It bypasses the analog preamps altogether which reduces ur noise floor significantly. Some people prefer the analog control, but for a run-and-gun setup, that digital connection is rock solid. Just make sure ur using high-quality cables to maintain signal integrity.
