I'm in a bit of a dilemma and could use some advice from those who've had hands-on experience with these cameras. I'm torn between the Sony ZV-E1 and the Sony a7C II for my next upgrade.
I'm primarily a content creator who does a mix of vlogging and still photography. The ZV-E1 seems tailor-made for video content, but I'm wondering if it can hold its own for stills. On the other hand, the a7C II looks like a more versatile option, but does it match up to the ZV-E1's video capabilities?
I'd love to hear your thoughts on image quality, low-light performance, autofocus, and overall user experience for both cameras. Are there any standout features or dealbreakers I should be aware of? Your insights would be incredibly helpful in making this decision. Thanks in advance!

I've been using the a7C II for a few months now, and I can confidently say it's an excellent hybrid camera. The image quality for both stills and video is outstanding. The 33MP sensor provides plenty of detail for photos, and the 4K video looks crisp and clean.
While I haven't used the ZV-E1 personally, I've seen comparisons, and it does seem to have an edge in video features. However, for my needs (which sound similar to yours - a mix of vlogging and stills), the a7C II has been perfect.
The autofocus on the a7C II is incredibly reliable, even in low light. Speaking of low light, the performance is impressive. I've shot in dimly lit indoor settings and the results were great, with minimal noise.
One thing to consider is the form factor. The a7C II has a more traditional camera body with an EVF, which I find useful for stills. The ZV-E1 lacks an EVF, which might be a dealbreaker if you shoot a lot of stills in bright conditions.
If you're leaning towards more video work in the future, the ZV-E1 might be the better choice. But if you want a great all-rounder that excels in both stills and video, I'd highly recommend the a7C II.
