Hey everyone! I've been eyeing the Sony ZV-E10 for a while now, and I'm finally ready to pull the trigger, but I'm hoping to snag a good deal. I'm a beginner vlogger just starting out and really need a camera that's user-friendly but still offers great image quality for YouTube. I'm not looking for the absolute latest model, so a used one would be perfect to save some cash. Has anyone seen any recent good deals on used ZV-E10 bodies or kits? Specifically wondering about reputable online retailers or even private sellers with good feedback. Any tips on where to look or what to watch out for when buying used would be super helpful!

I'm also pretty new to this, but I've been doing a ton of research because I was in the same boat last month. Have you checked out the used prices for the Canon EOS R50 lately? I've seen them go for around $550 with a kit lens on sites like MPB, which is super competitive with the Sony. Tbh, Canon's menus seem way easier for beginners to figure out (at least that's what I found). But before you decide, what kind of vlogging are you actually doing?? Like, are you doing sit-down talking head stuff or walking around outside? If you're on a super tight budget, you might even want to look at a used Panasonic Lumix G100. They seem way cheaper than Sony gear on the used market right now because Sony has so much hype. Sony's autofocus is the best, but maybe you're paying a premium just for the brand name? Definitely check the 'sold' listings on eBay to see what people are actually paying lately so you don't overpay!

Like someone mentioned, looking at different brands like Canon or the older a6400 is definitely the way to go. Everyone pretty much covered the main bases with MPB and the prime lens tips. I would suggest being really careful with the Sony ZV-E10 build quality tho... it feels kinda like a toy compared to other mirrorless bodies. You might want to consider the Nikon Z30 with 16-50mm VR Kit as an alternative. It feels way more solid in the hand and the used prices are actually super low lately. Just make sure to ask the seller about the sensor condition specifically. A quick tip for when you're testing any used body: take a photo of a bright white wall at a high f-stop like f/22. Itll show every bit of dust or any nasty scratches on the glass that you wont notice normally. Honestly, buying used can be sketchy so maybe stick to sellers with a solid return window...

Hey there! I totally get wanting to snag a deal on the ZV-E10 – it's a solid choice for beginners. Honestly, I've had good luck with both dedicated used camera sites and sometimes even local marketplaces. When I bought mine used, I really focused on checking seller reviews and asking for detailed photos and videos of the camera's condition, especially around the lens mount and screen. It’s worth taking your time and not rushing into the first offer you see. Good luck with your search!

Hey there! Glad to hear you're looking at the ZV-E10. It's definitely a sweet spot for beginners wanting good quality without breaking the bank. Since you're open to used, have you also considered other options in a similar price bracket when buying pre-owned?

While the ZV-E10 is great for its flip screen and decent autofocus for vlogging, sometimes you can find a used Sony a6400 for a similar price or even less. The a6400 boasts a slightly more robust build and, IMO, a touch better AF tracking in challenging situations, though the ZV-E10's dedicated vlogging features are hard to beat for pure ease of use out of the box.

When I was hunting for used gear, I found that looking at reputable sites that offer warranties (like KEH or MPB) is a bit pricier upfront but gives you peace of mind. You can often snag a body-only for around $450-$550 depending on condition. If you go the private seller route (eBay, Facebook Marketplace), definitely check seller feedback meticulously and ask for recent sample photos/videos if possible. Always aim for cameras that look well-maintained – avoid those with excessive cosmetic wear, as that can sometimes indicate rough handling.

No matter where you buy, just make sure the seller provides clear photos of the actual item and details any known issues. Good luck with the hunt!

Hey there! Totally get the ZV-E10 hunt. Since you're budget-conscious, I'd seriously consider buying just the body used, rather than a kit. You can often find the ZV-E10 body for significantly less, and then pair it with a *new*, budget-friendly prime lens like a Yongnuo or Viltrox 50mm f/1.8. These are surprisingly good for the price and will give you that nice bokeh for vlogging. Just be super careful with private sellers – ask for detailed photos of the sensor and body, and maybe even a short video of it powering up and recording. Hope this helps!
