I think you can pre-order several online stores to see which will coming first. I already pre-order it at B&H and Adorama.

A good news for you, my EOS R5 Mark II order from Amazon is already shipping, ordered about one minute after official announcement.

To add to the point above: it seems like the general consensus is that stock is a total roll of the dice right now.
- Amazon is showing shipping times all over the place.
- Canon Japan is warning about massive 6-month delays.
- B&H and Adorama are still the safest bets for most people even with the backlogs. I'm honestly just happy when my current setup works well without any glitches. Compatibility is my biggest worry with these new releases, especially with batteries and older lenses, so I tend to be pretty cautious before jumping ship. Reminds me of a trip I took to the coast last summer. I was so worried about salt spray that I spent more time cleaning my lens than actually taking photos. My brother-in-law was there with his ancient DSLR just snapping away without a care in the world. We ended up finding this incredible seafood shack right on the pier that served the best grilled oysters I have ever tasted. I think I have more photos of the oysters than the actual sunset... anyway lol sorry kinda went off topic there.
