Looking for the best deal on an EOS R5 Mark II. Anyone seen it for under $4000 lately?

Honestly, trying to snag one under 4k is a tall order atm. Quick question tho, what are you planning to shoot most? It helps to know if you actually need that 45MP sensor or if reliability and speed are the bigger deal for you. I look at it like this:

  • Canon EOS R5 Mark II Body: Top tier for high-res stuff but you pay a massive premium for it.
  • Canon EOS R6 Mark II Body: Way better value for most users and super reliable for pro work without the heat issues.
  • Sony Alpha 7 IV Body: Solid if you arent already deep in the RF lens ecosystem. If youre dead set on the R5 series, maybe keep an eye on the Canon refurbished store... they sometimes have gems and the warranty is usually solid. Let me know what your lens situation is like and I can try to help you find a bundle deal.

Unfortunately, haven't seen the R5 Mark II that low. Honestly? I bit the bullet at $4200 last year and had issues with the autofocus in low light – not as good as expected for that price. Consider the Sony a7 IV instead; better value overall, especially if you're shooting video. Just my two cents after a year of frustration.
