I recently purchased a DJI Mini 4 Pro and am looking to get a good set of ND and PL filters to improve my video footage quality. I mainly shoot landscapes, cityscapes and outdoor adventure/sports.
I'd love to hear your recommendations on the best filter kits or individual filters for the Mini 4 Pro. What brands and models do you suggest that provide great optical quality without adding too much weight to the drone? Any specific ND filter strengths (ND4, ND8, ND16, etc.) that you've found most useful for typical shooting conditions?
I'm looking for filters around the $50-100 price range if possible. Bonus points for filter kits that include a nice compact carrying case.

Before you pull the trigger on a kit, you really need to be careful about the total weight of the glass. The Mini 4 Pro gimbal is incredibly sensitive, and even a fraction of a gram can cause those annoying gimbal overload warnings or lead to shaky footage in sport mode. I would suggest testing any new filter by doing a full gimbal calibration in the app as soon as you snap it on. If it fails or sounds like it is struggling, dont use it. Also, watch out for the budget sets that lack decent oil-resistant coatings. Fingerprints on these tiny lenses are a nightmare to clean in the field and will absolutely ruin your sharpness. Its usually smarter to invest in a basic three-pack of high-quality filters rather than a cheap mega-pack. Most of the time, you really only need an ND16 or ND32 anyway, so dont waste money on the extreme ends like ND1000 unless you have a specific plan for them. Just make sure the fit is snug too, because a loose filter vibrating during flight is a recipe for blurry shots.

I highly recommend the Freewell All Day 4K ND/PL filter set for the DJI Mini 4 Pro. The set includes ND4/PL, ND8/PL, ND16/PL and ND32/PL filters that provide 2 to 5 stops of light reduction. The filters are made from high quality optical glass with multi-coatings to minimize glare and reflections. The polarizing layer helps cut through haze and boosts color saturation. I've found this set allows me to keep my shutter speed at the ideal 2x frame rate to get smooth, cinematic looking footage in a variety of lighting conditions.
