I just picked up the new DJI Air 3 and I’m absolutely loving the dual-camera setup, but I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the extra gear available. I’m planning a big coastal trip soon and want to make sure I’m fully prepared. I already have the Fly More Combo, but I’m wondering if I should prioritize getting specific ND filters for that 70mm medium telephoto lens or if a more rugged hard case is a better investment for travel? I'm also curious if anyone has found a specific microSD card that handles the dual-camera bitrates best. What are the absolute must-have accessories you’d recommend to someone trying to get the most out of their Air 3?

Late to the party but +1 to the protection talk. Honestly, I once lost a gimbal to salt spray cuz I was careless... learned my lesson the hard way. If ur watching ur wallet, I'd skip the pricey cases and grab the Lykus Titan MA310 Waterproof Hard Case for DJI Air 3 instead. It's basically a tank for half the price. Also, the Samsung EVO Select 512GB microSDXC UHS-I U3 A2 V30 is a total steal for those big dual-camera files. Protect that gear or youll regret it! gl!

For your situation, skip the pricey cases and get the PGYTECH Drone Landing Pad Pro 50cm—its only $20 and keeps grit away. Also, I love the Samsung PRO Plus 256GB microSDXC UHS-I V30 for reliability. It handles dual-camera bitrates perfectly and is super cost-effective. Have a fantastic trip!!!

So for a coastal trip, sand is literally the worst. I'd definitely prioritize protection. I've been looking at the Nanuk 920 Hard Case for DJI Air 3 vs the standard DJI bag. The Nanuk is waterproof and basically keeps sand out of the gimbal, which is a lifesaver, though it's kinda bulky if you're hiking a lot. As for the lenses, since you're doing coastals, I highkey suggest the Freewell DJI Air 3 Filters All Day 6-Pack instead of the standard ones. It has a CPL filter which is basically essential for cutting glare off the ocean water. Technical wise, iirc the dual-camera bitrates are pretty high, so I've been using the Samsung PRO Plus 512GB microSDXC UHS-I U3 V30. It's super fast and hasn't glitched on me yet like some cheaper cards do. Honestly, it just depends on if you're hiking or driving, but these are my must-haves for now! gl!

Like someone mentioned, a landing pad is seriously non-negotiable for beach flights. In my experience flying coastal spots over the years, I've seen way too many motors get that nasty crunch after one "clean" landing in the sand. It is just not worth the risk. One small point to add though... I have tried many different bags and cases, and honestly the third-party stuff usually beats the official kit for organization. The stock bags are okay for traveling light but they get really cramped once you start adding filters and spare props. Dedicated hard cases from the specialized brands usually have much better precut foam that actually fits everything without squeezing it. Makes a huge difference when you're trying to pack up quickly before the tide comes in.

hey! i'm kinda new too but i'd highkey suggest getting filters first. the coastal sun is reallyyy bright so the DJI Air 3 ND Filters Set (ND8/16/32/64) is a decent option... i'm always worried about losing footage so i use the SanDisk 256GB Extreme PRO microSDXC UHS-I Card V30 for safety. maybe get a hard case if ur traveling a lot? just to be safe. gl!
