What are the absolute must-have accessories for the S5II if I'm gonna be shooting my first big wedding solo next month? I finally bit the bullet and upgraded from my old G9 but honestly I'm kinda freaking out about all the extra stuff I might need to buy before the big day in Chicago. My budget is pretty tight now since the body and the 24-105mm kit basically cleaned me out so I've only got maybe $500 or $600 left to get it production ready and that has to cover everything.

I was looking at those high speed V90 cards but man they are expensive and I saw some people online say you can just use a T7 shield or something with a cage but then I worry about the USB port getting loose or the cable falling out during the ceremony which would be a total disaster. Is the internal cooling really enough for a 10 hour day or do I need a fan mount thing? I also keep seeing people talk about the Ninja V for better codecs but is it actually necessary if the internal 10-bit is already so good?

I really don't want to overspend on gear that just sits in my bag but I'm terrified of something failing when the couple is doing their vows and I'm just sitting there with a dead battery or a full card... what should I prioritize first so I dont mess this up?

Just catching up on this thread. In my experience, simple is almost always safer when you're flying solo. Years ago I tried an external SSD with a Samsung T7 Shield 1TB SSD. It worked fine in the studio, but during a live event, a guest bumped my tripod and the USB cable wiggled enough to kill the recording. I almost had a stroke. Now I refuse to use cables for storage on weddings. Heres how I see your options:

Just saw your post and man, I remember my first solo gig. I was so worried about gear failure I ended up bringing way too much junk that just slowed me down. Tbh, the heat thing is usually overblown unless you're shooting 6K in direct sunlight for an hour straight. I've never had the internal fan let me down during a long reception. You definitely don't need the external recorder yet since the internal files are super flexible for grading. It’s way better to keep your setup light when you're moving fast. To help narrow down the essentials tho, how many hours are you actually expected to be rolling non-stop? Also, are you planning to do mostly handheld work or will you have a dedicated spot for a tripod during the vows?
