Hey everyone! I'm already eyeing the OM-1 Mark II and trying to plan way ahead for Black Friday & Cyber Monday 2025. I know it's super early, but does anyone have predictions or insights into OM System's typical sale patterns for newly released or relatively recent cameras? Hoping to snag a sweet bundle deal or a significant discount this year. What are your thoughts on potential price drops?

Honestly if you are already looking at 2025 you really need to focus on the reliability side of things because a good deal isn't actually a deal if the gear fails on you during a major shoot. I've been around the block with this system for a long time and my biggest piece of advice is to stay cautious about where those 'too good to be true' prices are coming from during the holiday rush.
- Just go with OM System for your main kit because their build quality is basically legendary and you cant go wrong with their higher-end bodies if you need something that survives the elements.
- Only buy from authorized dealers to ensure you get a real warranty because gray market imports are a massive headache if something goes wrong with the internal electronics wait no I mean any component really and having that safety net is worth the extra cost tbh.
- Keep an eye on the official brand outlet since those units are inspected by actual technicians so they're usually more reliable than a random box from an unverified third-party seller on a big marketplace.
Yeah I'd personally rather pay a bit more for the peace of mind knowing the gear is fully backed by the manufacturer.
