NR has just posted the upcoming Nikon Z50 II APS-C mirrorless camera, it will be announced at the end of this year, and here are first rumored specs:

Like someone mentioned, we are all mostly debating the sensor and the price right now. Honestly though, in my experience, the megapixels are less important than the processing power. I've tried many setups over the years and the Expeed 7 logic is what makes or breaks a modern mirrorless system. If Nikon gives us that, the hit rate for focus will be worth the upgrade alone, even if the sensor stays the same. Quick tip: if you pick this up, definitely look for the Nikon EN-EL25a Rechargeable Li-ion Battery specifically. The newer 'a' version has a bit more capacity than the original which makes a difference for a long day of shooting. Reliability over specs every time, ngl.
Finally someone says it. Ive been thinking this for a while but wasnt sure.
Hope for a new sensor.
