ive been shooting nikon for twenty years and honestly the move to z dx has been pretty underwhelming so far. i remember taking the first Nikon Z50 DX-Format Mirrorless Camera out to a wedding as a backup and it just felt clunky. the ergos werent quite there and the lack of a joystick really slowed me down in the heat of the moment. its frustrating because the potential is there but nikon keeps nerfing these bodies. unless this announcement tonight includes ibis or a much bigger battery, it probably wont be as good as everyone is hoping. i really wanted to love my last one but it just sat in my bag most of the time because i couldnt trust the single card slot for anything serious. quick tips:
- skip the 16-50 kit lens and go straight for the Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 18-140mm f/3.5-6.3 VR
- carry a power bank since the Nikon EN-EL25 Rechargeable Li-ion Battery capacity is usually tiny
