Hey everyone!

I'm trying to figure out the best way to share my Amazon shopping cart with someone else. I'm planning a surprise birthday party for my best friend, and I've added a bunch of camera lenses to my cart. I want my friend's sister to take a look and remove anything she thinks is a duplicate or that my friend wouldn't like.

I know Amazon has a "Share" button on individual items, but I really need to share the whole cart at once. It's a pretty big cart, and sending individual links would be super tedious and confusing. I've tried copying the URL, but it just takes her to her own Amazon account, not my cart. Is there a simple, built-in way to do this that I'm missing, or do I need some kind of third-party app or workaround? I'm a little worried about security using a third-party app.

Ideally, I'd love for her to be able to see the prices and quantities too. What's the easiest and safest way to share my entire Amazon shopping cart with someone else so they can review it before I buy?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Honestly its just so disappointing that Amazon still lacks a native way to do this. I've had issues with trying to manage a budget for high-end gear like Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II and it's always a nightmare. You're trying to track prices and catch specific deals, but coordinating with someone else is just not as good as expected. I really value account security and reliability above all else, and unfortunately, these workarounds just feel clunky or unsafe. It’s frustrating when you're trying to save money on something like the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art for Sony E but the lack of a shared cart means you might miss a price drop or end up with the wrong version. I just wish there was a more professional, built-in solution for this.

Just catching up on all the suggestions! Basically, it looks like everyone is split between using those chrome extensions or just going the manual route with screenshots and spreadsheets. > I'm a little worried about security using a third-party app. I totally get that worry, especially since you're buying camera lenses. Those aren't cheap!! Honestly, when it comes to reliability and keeping your account safe, I’d be realy careful with any third-party tool that asks for permissions. If it were me, I’d stick to the manual methods mentioned earlier, like a shared doc or even just a quick video call to look at the screen together. As for the gear itself, if you're buying lenses, just stick with any of the main photography brands like Sony or Canon—they’re super reliable and you definately won't regret it. Better to be safe than sorry with both the account security and the glass. Anyway...

Hey there! I totally get where you're coming from. Planning a surprise party is stressful enough without Amazon making it difficult! I've been using Amazon for, like, forever, and over the years I've tried many different ways to share carts. Unfortunately, there isn't a straightforward 'share cart' button. I've found that Amazon Wish Lists are the BEST workaround for sharing multiple items like you want to do.

Here's what I do: Move everything from your cart into a new Wish List (make it private or shared). Your friend's sister can then view the Wish List, see prices and quantities, and even mark items as purchased or remove them directly. It's a little clunky to move everything over, but in my experience, it's the safest and easiest way. I've done this for birthdays and even shared lists for group gifts. Let me know if you need help with the steps to move items to a Wish List – happy to walk you through it!
