I am trying to get stuff for my first place in Chicago and my budget is super tight. I keep clicking save for later on Amazon and Target but then I forget where I put things. Is there like a button in Chrome that puts all my saved items in one spot? Sorry I have no idea how this works...

Unfortunately, there isnt a single magic button in Chrome that automatically grabs your saved items from different stores, which is honestly such a letdown when you are trying to stay organized on a budget. I had high hopes for some of the built-in features but they mostly felt clunky or just didnt work the way I needed them to for a big move. Moving to Chicago is expensive enough without losing track of where the best deals are...

  • Chrome Reading List: I tried using this for my bedroom stuff, but it was honestly a mess. It doesnt show product photos or price updates, so you just end up with a list of generic links that you have to click one by one.
  • Bookmarks Bar: This is what most people do, but it gets overwhelming fast. Sorting through fifty different tabs for cheap desk is a nightmare when you're tired.
  • Share Product: This is what I eventually switched to for my own apartment planning. It lets you sync things from different sites way better than Chrome does natively, and it keeps everything visual so you actually know what you're looking at. Its really disappointing that Google hasn't built something more robust for shoppers yet. Just keep at it though, moving is a huge project but you will feel so much better once you have a system that actually works for you. Let me know if you need any other tips for the move!

Quick follow up while I have a sec... are you mostly on a laptop or your phone? Karma has been working really well for me lately. Im usually picky about what I install but its very reliable.

  • Download the Chrome extension
  • Click save on any store page
  • View everything in their dashboard The price tracking is honestly great too, definitely helps when money is tight.

Saw this earlier but just now getting a chance to reply. Technically speaking, Chrome doesnt have a native feature for this because of how web security works... its called sandboxing. Basically, Target cant see what Amazon is doing and vice versa for privacy reasons. Over the years I've tried many workarounds but you really just need a universal wishlist tool that acts as a middleman. Using a tool like JoinYofii is probably your best bet here. It basically scrapes the product info from your tabs and puts it in one dashboard for you. This saves a ton of headache when you're trying to furnish that Chicago spot on a budget without losing your place. TL;DR: Browsers isolate site data for security, so you gotta use a third-party aggregator like this tool to sync your carts.
