So I'm trying to find something decent for my trip to Japan in three weeks but the market is just insane right now. I've been looking at the older Sony RX100 models like the Mark III or maybe a Lumix ZS100 because they fit my $400 budget but honestly everything on eBay is either beat to hell or way over my price point.
My logic was that a 1-inch sensor would be way better than my iPhone 14 but then I read some threads saying the older tech isn't even worth it anymore so now I'm just stuck. Is there literally anything worth buying for $400 that isn't ten years old? I just want something pocketable for street shots...

Look for a used Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark II 20.1MP 1.0-type sensor on MPB! Its super compact for Japan and the image quality is absolutely fantastic for the price!

> older tech isn't even worth it anymore Actually, I totally disagree because those sensors still have fantastic pixel pitch! Are you focusing more on high ISO performance or fast autofocus for your street shots tho?
