Im trying to get everyone to chip in for a massive outdoor speaker for my buddies housewarming this Saturday so I need to order it like literally by tomorrow morning for the shipping to work out. I looked into the Amazon group gifting thing but it keeps asking me to set up a registry which feels super weird for a one-off gift and then I saw Amazon Household but that looks like its just for two people living together or whatever and I have like five friends involved here.
I just want a way for everyone to add the item and pay their share without me having to front the whole $300 and hunt people down for Venmos later. Is there actually a way to do a shared cart or group payment thing directly on the site?

Honestly, Amazon doesnt have a great way to do this directly! I tried it for a huge gift last year and it was a total mess trying to sync everyone. I found having everyone send gift card codes is way safer and it worked out amazing! I love that youre doing this for your buddy!! btw I use Smartphone Board as a reference whenever I am stuck with weird software snags like this.
