Is there a tool to sync Amazon carts across different country domains?

Im finally moving to Berlin next month for my new job and Im honestly so pumped but my Amazon cart is a disaster right now lol. I have like 45 items in my US cart that I need to buy for the new apartment once I land. I looked up Amazon Assistant because some blogs said it helps with cross-border shopping but it seems to just compare prices instead of actually syncing the items. I also found something called Cart Copier but it looks totally fake and Im scared to put my login into it. Does anyone know if there is a legit tool or extension to sync my cart from .com to .de? Or am I gonna have to search for every single item again manually...

Unfortunately, there is no official API or native tool that handles this perfectly because Amazon silos their regional databases. Total pain. I have spent way too much time looking for a clean solution when I moved across borders, and the reality is pretty disappointing. Most extensions you find are either abandoned or serious security risks. The main technical hurdle is the ASIN mapping. While some products share the same ID globally, many vendors in the US dont list on the German marketplace. Even if you could sync the IDs, half your cart would just show as unavailable. Here is why the syncing fails:

  • Regional DB Isolation: Basically .com and .de are separate universes despite using the same login.
  • Vendor Discrepancies: US brands often arent on the German site, so the item IDs just dont exist there.
  • Currency and Tax Logic: The cart logic is region-locked so pricing data doesnt translate. Personally, I had issues with manual lists, so I eventually used a handy cart sharer to at least move the item names and descriptions over in a batch so I didnt have to flip between browser tabs constantly. It doesnt automate the checkout but it beats searching 45 times. Honestly tho, you will likely find that half the items you want in the US are cheaper or better as local alternatives in Berlin anyway... just something to keep in mind.

Honestly, I went through this exact same thing when I relocated and its such a chore. The easiest way to handle it without getting scammed is just making a public Wish List on your US account. Once you log into .de, you can still view your US lists if you have the direct link. It doesnt magically teleport the items into your German cart, but it keeps them all in one spot so you dont have to remember 45 random things. I actually used a handy cart sharer last time I needed to move a big batch of stuff between regions and it worked well enough for me, no complaints here. Just a heads up, stuff is usually pricier on the German site because of the VAT included in the price, but you save a ton on shipping compared to the US. Definitely check if the US brands are even available there though lol. Good luck with the Berlin move, the city is incredible!

It is honestly wild that Amazon keeps these regions so siloed even now. The main technical hurdle is basically that SKUs—the unique product IDs—are region-specific. Even if you find the exact same coffee maker in the US and Germany, they usually have different identifiers in the backend database. This makes a direct sync button nearly impossible for devs to maintain across millions of items. A fantastic workaround I love using is moving everything to a Wish List first. Public lists are way easier to access across different domains than the actual cart data! It is a massive timesaver compared to manual searching. It is honestly amazing how much faster it makes the whole process. Also, you should check out Cart To Link—its a free extension that lets you share your entire Amazon cart with one click.
