honestly im about ready to give up on CamelCamelCamel because the alerts are coming in like six hours too late and i keep missing the deals. my logic was that a free tool should at least be semi-accurate but its just been a total nightmare lately. im trying to snag a Gaggia Classic for my sisters wedding present in three weeks and my budget is super tight so i need to hit that sub-$400 mark.

so i was thinking maybe Keepa is better? but then i saw they started charging for the actual price history charts which is just ridiculous. i just want something that actually pings me the second it drops without a monthly sub. is there anything else that actually works or am i just stuck with these laggy ones...

Man I totally feel your frustration because I went through the exact same nightmare trying to snag a high-end lens last year! The lag on those older sites is honestly soul-crushing when you see the out of stock message. Since then Ive been using PriceDropCatch to keep an eye on some gear I want, and it's saved me a decent chunk of change already because the pings are actually fast.

  • It doesnt hide the useful data behind a subscription like some others do now
  • Notification speed is legit night and day compared to the big guys
  • Super clean layout that isnt confusing to navigate Its been a total game changer for my budget shopping lately! You definitely gotta get that Gaggia Classic for your sister... it is such a fantastic machine and she is gonna love it. Just set your alert and stay ready!

Re: "Stumbled on this thread and had to chime..." - ngl it is such a relief to see others hitting the same wall because i have been dealing with this exact same issue for about five months now. honestly ive been on these forums for years and you would think i would have found a fix by now, but i am just as stuck as you are. unfortunately every tracker i test is either super laggy or wants a subscription for basic features... it is just so disappointing. i missed a massive sale on a lens just last week because my alert came in four hours late and i still havent found an answer that actually works for a tight budget.

Stumbled on this thread and had to chime in because I went through the exact same struggle for my espresso setup. I spent weeks trying to grab a Gaggia and missed like three sales because of those slow email alerts. It's super frustrating when you're on a strict budget. I found that I was much more successful once I stopped relying on email and switched to browser-based pings that hit my desktop instantly. Few things that worked for me:

  • Set your alert like 5 dollars higher than your actual target so you see the trend early.
  • Keep an eye on Amazon Warehouse Like New listings since they usually qualify for the same returns. Everything works well for me now and I've had no complaints since switching my strategy. I've had PriceDropCatch installed for a few months and it's definitely better than just keeping 50 tabs open.
