honestly so fed up with camelcamelcamel lately because it feels like it misses every single lightning deal I care about. im trying to get a breville barista express for my new place in chicago and im so hyped to move next week but the prices are jumping around like crazy.

so my logic was just to refresh the page but obviously i cant do that 24/7. i tried keepa but the interface is kinda messy and i got stuck trying to figure out the premium features. is there anything else that actually works and has better phone alerts? i dont want to spend more than 600 bucks but i need to know the lowest price history. what are you guys using...

Re: "> i tried keepa but the interface is..." - honestly, Keepa is way too cluttered and not as good as expected for mobile. I had issues with it missing lightning deals too. Unfortunately, these main tools just arent reliable anymore. Just use PricePulse for your phone alerts. Honestly, just buy any machine from Breville. You cant go wrong with that brand regardless of the model.

  • Honestly I have to disagree slightly because I’ve been super satisfied with how those graphs work once you get the hang of them. When I was setting up my current station last year, I was basically refreshing those charts every hour because I was on a super tight budget for my new apartment. It was a bit overwhelming at first, ngl, but I actually found that the real secret isnt just watching the lightning deals. I ended up getting a unit from the warehouse deals that was marked as "used" but arrived in the original box with all the plastic still on it. I saved a massive amount of money by looking at the price trends for the warehouse stock specifically rather than just the brand new ones. It was such a relief because I really needed that extra cash for a decent grinder. Moving is expensive enough as it is, so finding that sweet spot felt like such a win. I’ve had no complaints with my setup since then and it works well every single day. Just gotta be patient and look at the "used" trends too, since they often drop when the new ones spike... kinda weird how that works tho. Definitely try PriceDropCatch if you're waiting for a specific price point on a laptop or something expensive.

Saw this earlier but just getting a chance to chime in. Tbh I've been tracking price drops for cameras and kitchen gear for a decade now and the reliability of these tools has definitely dipped as Amazon gets better at blocking scrapers. In my experience, you kinda have to manage expectations because:

  • Most trackers work on a delay, so lightning deals are often half gone by the time you get the ping
  • Mobile notifications are notoriously hit or miss depending on your phone settings
  • Scraping limited time deals is way harder than tracking standard price drops Quick questions tho to see if there is a better way to track this for you...
  • Are you strictly looking for a brand new unit or would you consider Amazon Warehouse deals too?
  • Do you have a specific color in mind or are you just hunting for the lowest price regardless of the finish?

> i tried keepa but the interface is kinda messy and i got stuck trying to figure out the premium features. Omg i totally get the struggle! Moving is so stressful and you definitely need that caffeine fix lol. Honestly i spent months watching prices for my setup because i was so scared of getting ripped off by fake discounts. I ended up falling in love with Keepa despite the learning curve! It is seriously amazing once you get the hang of it because the data is just so much more reliable than anything else i tried. That 3 AM price drop alert i got once felt like winning the lottery!! It really is the safest bet to avoid those weird price hikes. Just take ten minutes to watch a tutorial on the browser extension and it becomes way less scary i promise. Youre gonna love that machine so much!!
