Just got the a7R V for a Zion trip next week and I'm panicking. Read the 16-35 GM II is best but then saw people saying it wont resolve the 61MP sensor and I need primes instead. I dont want to waste $2k on something soft. What is actually the sharpest landscape lens for this body?

Unfortunately that zoom is underwhelming for the price. What's your actual budget? You'd be better off with the Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art for way less money honestly.

@Reply 1 - good point! Saving cash for the trip is amazing. Not 100% sure but I think:
- resolution issues are mostly hyped up tho
- cheaper glass still kills it at f/11!
