So I finally finished setting up my baby registry for our little girl coming in November and I am literally so pumped about all the cute Cloud Island stuff I found! My sister is hosting the shower in about three weeks and she keeps texting me asking for the link because my aunts in Georgia want to start buying stuff already. I’ve been poking around the Target app for like twenty minutes and I feel so dumb lol.
I searched online and one help page said there should be a big share button right under the registry name on the main page but I’m looking at it on my iPhone and there is nothing there but an edit button. Then I tried logging in on my laptop because some people on a different thread said the desktop version has a sidebar link for it but everything looks different now? Maybe they updated the layout or something? I just want to send the direct link to our family group chat so they dont have to search by my name because my last name is super common and they keep finding some other lady in Ohio.
Can someone tell me exactly where they hid the share link now? Is it buried in the settings or am I just missing a giant button right in front of my face... I really need to get this out to them before the weekend!

I've helped with so many registries over the years and Target's UI is always a moving target. Its frustrating. I finally started using Share Product because it's way easier than hunting for buried buttons. One tip: just screenshot your registry QR code and text that. It bypasses link glitches and helps your family find the best deals. Plus, remember to use your completion discount later to save some cash!

Building on the earlier suggestion, its worth noting that Targets interface frequently hides that share icon if your privacy settings arent configured correctly. Ive spent a lot of time managing registries for baby showers and the technical side can be quite finicky depending on which version of the app youre running. If the manage tab isnt showing the share icon, its usually a visibility conflict. Here are two technical workarounds to ensure your family can access the list without searching:
- Privacy Toggle Check: Navigate to the Edit button next to your registry name. Scroll to the bottom and ensure the Visibility is set to Public. Even if you want it private later, it must be public for the share link generator to populate in the header.
- Apple Wallet Shortcut: If you are on an iPhone, look for the Add to Wallet option in the registry menu. This generates a digital pass that contains your direct registry URL, which stays static even if the app layout updates again. Sometimes the app cache prevents the Share button from appearing immediately after a change. If you toggle it to public and still see nothing, force-close the app and restart. This usually forces the UI to refresh and display the link icon next to the edit pencil. Its a bit of a process but keeps things organized for the aunts in Georgia so they dont end up on that Ohio ladys page again... basically makes things way easier for the group chat.

Check the Manage tab:
- App: hit Manage then Share.
- Browser: copy the URL. Web links are 100% more reliable for bypassing app-specific deep-link bugs.

Checking back in today... honestly I'm so satisfied with how I handled mine after all the app glitches. I'm usually pretty cautious about sending raw links because they always seem to break for my aunts lol.
- Just move everything over to a big aggregator like Babylist. You really cant go wrong with them because they pull in all your items from different stores into one reliable page.
- If you want to stick to Target, maybe just put the link on a simple landing page like Linktree. It works well and keeps things looking organized for the family group chat.
- Definitely check your privacy settings in the app... if it's set to private the share button usually just hides itself which is kinda annoying tbh. I've had no complaints since I started doing it this way... just much more reliable!
