I am honestly so fed up with Amazon and their weird dynamic pricing thing it is actually driving me insane. I have been trying to buy this Breville Barista Express for my sisters wedding next month and I swear every single time I refresh the page the price has changed by like eighty bucks. My logic was that if I just waited for a weekend it would drop but then it went up instead?? I tried using CamelCamelCamel because everyone says to use that but the interface looks like it is from 2005 and I feel like the email alerts always show up way too late after the deal is already gone. Honey is okay i guess for coupons but it doesnt really give me that deep dive into the price history that I actually need to see if I am getting a good deal or just getting scammed by a fake discount. I need something that actually pings my browser immediately when it hits a target price because I am on a strict 600 dollar budget for this and I cant keep checking the tab every hour while I am at work. Is there anything better out there that people actually use nowadays or am I just stuck manually refreshing like a crazy person? I heard maybe Keepa is good but it looks super complicated with all those graphs and stuff... I just want something simple that actually works.
Unfortunately, most of the big name extensions are pretty disappointing once you actually rely on them for a specific budget. I had major issues with Honey missing alerts entirely because it seems more focused on the coupon side of things than real-time tracking. Capital One Shopping is another alternative, but honestly, it is super bloated and the privacy aspect is a bit sketchy since they want to track almost everything you search. If Keepa feels like too much of a mess, maybe try Price Pulse instead. It is way simpler than those crazy graphs but still faster than the email alerts from CamelCamelCamel. Just keep in mind that Breville is really strict with their pricing, so getting it under 600 might be rare. You might have better luck checking the Amazon Warehouse section for an open-box unit if you need it by next month... sometimes they have deals that dont trigger the usual trackers.
Keepa is basically the only tool reliable enough for strict budgets.
