honestly im so done with my old dslr it weighs a ton and the autofocus is basically useless at this point. i just got back from a trip to oregon and missed half the cool landscape shots because it wouldnt focus or just felt too clunky to pull out of my bag. im seriously ready to throw it in the trash lol. i need something mirrorless and actually portable for under 800 bucks because i have my sisters wedding coming up in three weeks and i cant show up with this brick. i just want something that works and doesnt make me want to scream every time i press the shutter. which mirrorless camera offers the best value under $800 right now?
Love the mirrorless upgrade! Are you prioritizing stabilization for landscapes? The Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV with 14-42mm Lens offers fantastic technical specifications:
TL;DR: Go with the Sony for the best autofocus or Canon for portability. I would suggest the Sony Alpha a6400 with 16-50mm Lens as a solid bet because its tracking is excellent for events like weddings. You might want to consider the Canon EOS R50 with RF-S 18-45mm Lens too, but be careful since the native lens ecosystem is still relatively small. Both beat a clunky DSLR.
