Tbh $2,799 feels like a big jump from the Canon EOS R6 Mark II, but those specs are wild. I’m still pretty new to the technical side of video, but 7K RAW and Open Gate sounds like a massive deal for anyone doing serious editing, right? I'm honestly sooo happy they finally put a CFexpress Type B slot in here because SD cards were reallyyy holding back the buffer on the older models. If your mainly a photographer, maybe the price is a bit high, but for video it’s basically a baby Canon EOS R5 Mark II. I wonder how much that new sensor improves the rolling shutter tho. Does anyone know if the 6.5 stops of IBIS is actually better than the old "8 stops" they used to claim? It's all a bit confusing you know? TL;DR: Significant price hike but the move to CFexpress Type B and 7K RAW makes this a serious technical leap for video shooters.
